We’re excited to announce the 2024 FLLS Family Literacy mini-grant cycle recipients. Nearly $5000 was awarded to 13 member libraries. Many exciting projects are taking shape–some tried and true, others new and experimental.  Congratulations and thank you for providing a variety of literacy-focused experiences for your communities.

Here’s a look at this year’s projects:

This grant is provided to FLLS member libraries through NYS-funded outreach services.  The mini-grants must be used to purchase supplies and materials or to fund performers/presenters that support the library’s literacy work for at-risk youth ages birth-21 years.

For the 2024 grant year, each library could request up to $500 to meet a literacy need in their community.  The grant is competitive.
