Finger Lakes Library System statement on ending use of Hoopla

As of January 1, 2020, the Finger Lakes Library System will no longer offer cardholders free access to the streaming platform Hoopla. Several member libraries are considering offering Hoopla on their own and patrons from those select libraries will still be able to access Hoopla with no disruption in service.

The System made this decision after thorough discussion of alternatives and priorities. We believe the pricing model and cost of Hoopla make it unsustainable for the System, and that our resources are more effectively used purchasing more in-demand content through other platforms.
