TCPL Has Launched Their New Website
The Tompkins County Public Library, TCPL, has launched their new website. Please see their announcement below and be sure to visit them online at tcpl.org.
Welcome to the new TCPL.org! We hope you find everything you need, and discover something new!
The website redesign process started a few years ago with lots of research, training, discussion, and analysis of the previous site. We formed a committee of staff from various TCPL departments and together sought a design company that could speak to the specific needs of our organization and the community we serve. Library Market, a company founded by librarians, seemed a perfect fit for us, and we liked what we’d seen of their previous work. We are extremely grateful to the Friends of the Tompkins County Public Library for their generous funding of this project.
We wanted our new site to be fresh, modern, and streamlined, as easily navigated from your laptop as it is from your smartphone. You will find links for services and room reservations under “Using the Library,” links for various audiences under “Just for You,” booklists and beyond under “Books, Movies & More,” and all of your research and discovery needs under “Research & Learn.” Check out “About Us” to learn about the history of Tompkins County Public Library and even meet some of the staff who work at our service desks and behind the scenes!
One of the most exciting parts of our new site is the calendar, which can be filtered by audience and event type. You can also easily register for and share events—and we hope you do! Please take a moment to see all that’s happening each and every day at TCPL, from baby storytimes, STEAM drop-in programs, and teen writing workshops, to fiction and non-fiction book clubs for adults, film screenings, and our ongoing exhibits!
We hope you enjoy exploring the new TCPL.org!
